PERMITTING
Permits are required in North Huntringdon Township. Do not proceed with work unless the proper permits have been obtained through the Planning & Zoning Department. Permits must be in-hand before beginning construction, alteration, replacing or repairing an existing structure.
A permit is required for the following structures:
- New House Construction
- Residential Addition
- Commercial Construction
- Commercial Addition
- Detached Garage
- Swimming Pools
- Elevated Deck
- Deck with Roof
- Storage Shed
- Signs
- Home Occupation
- Large Windows
- Retaining Walls >4ft
A permit is not required for the following structures:
- Replacement of Shingles
- Replacement of Same-Size Windows
- Patio Slab
- Deck on Ground Level
- Repaving of Driveway
- Fences
- Home Siding
- Retaining Walls <4ft
