Pools
- Must be located in the rear yard
- Pools must be set back 10 feet from the sides and rear of your property
line. This will include any elevated deck that will surrounding the
pool.
- If you plan to construct a deck for your pool that is more than four
feet
above the grade of the ground, you will need a permit.
- Keep in mind that corner lots have 2 front yards and the
pool shall be located at the 30' front yard set back line (or 30' off your
front property pin).

In-ground Pools
- Permits are required for in-ground pools.
- A fence with a locking gate, ranging from four to six feet in height, must
be constructed around the pool. A temporary fence must be installed
immediately during the construction of the pool and shall remain until a
permenant fence can be installed.
- A plot plan is required with the submission of a permit application that
shows the location of the pool on the property and the distances from the
property line.

Above Ground Pools
- You do not need a permit for an above ground pool. This
will change in the near future.
- You only need a fence around the pool if the pool is less than four feet
in height from grade at any point around the pool.
- Ladders or stairs to above ground pools shall be either
removable,gated or locked so that entrance to the pool is prohibited when
not in use.

regulations with the Zoning Officer before applying for a permit or before
engaging in any construction.
