Lien Letter Procedures

North Huntingdon Township does not require lien letters for the sale of properties.
Lien letters are usually required by lending institutions.
North Huntingdon Township Municipal Claims & Liens are levied for services due to different varieties of property maintenance issues (demolitions, uncut grass and/or high weeds, removal of junk and/or debris, securing structures that are deemed unsafe, etc.).
Lien letters are prepared upon request when payment for this service has been rendered.  Lien letters will be mailed if a self-addressed, stamped envelope is received.  Lien letter requests can be faxed to 724-863-3825.  Lien letters will not be issued until payment is received.
The person/s making the request is responsible for supplying correct information with regard to the property owner and tax mapping number. 
There is no charge for verbal verifications.
