North Huntingdon Township, Westmoreland County, is seeking a dedicated professional who establishes positive working relationships with staff, department heads, elected officials, and the community to serve as the next Assistant Township Manager. North Huntingdon Township is strategically located within thirty minutes of the City of Pittsburgh. North Huntingdon Township has become the destination to live, work, and play with access to two major highways of Route 30 and the PA Turnpike. North Huntingdon Township is just over 27 square miles with a population of 31,788 and a budget of $15.8m. The Assistant Township Manager will perform high level administrative, technical and professional work in assisting the Township Manager and work under both the broad policy guidance and direct supervision of the Township Manager. Graduation from an accredited four year college or university with a degree in public administration, political science, business management or a closely related field, and two (2) years of experience as a manager, assistant manager or department director, preferably in the public sector.
