On or about April 7, 2025, Columbia Gas is planning to undertake a major renovation and upgrade of their pipeline system in the McKee Road area. The streets within the project limits include all or part of McKee Road, Stillwell Drive, Center Street, Macarthur Lane, Meade Drive, Bradley Drive, Freida Street, Rebecca Street, S. Whitmore Road, Drop Road, Seminole Street and North Whitmore Road. Upon completion of their underground
facilities, Columbia crews will restore the trench areas of the disturbed pavement by the end of the paving season in 2025.
In late summer, the Municipal Authority of Westmoreland County “MAWC” is planning a major renovation and upgrade of their pipeline on the entirety of McKee Road. Similar to Columbia, MAWC crews will restore the trench areas of the disturbed pavement by the end of the paving season in 2025.
In early 2026, North Huntingdon Township, by a restoration agreement with both Columbia and MAWC, will mill and resurface, curb to curb, all roads that are disturbed by Columbia’s and MAWC’s improvements.
