[ARCHIVED] Friendly Reminder: Fireworks Regulations in North Huntingdon

With Independence Day coming up quickly, we would like to put out a few reminders concerning fireworks:


o    Typically, the use of consumer fireworks is permitted in the Township Sunday through Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. as well as Friday and Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.

o    On July 3rd, 4th, and 5th the use of consumer fireworks is permitted in the Township from 4:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m.

o    Consumer fireworks are not permitted to be ignited or discharged within 150 feet of an occupied structure

o    Do not throw consumer fireworks from buildings or motor vehicles

o    Do not ignite or discharge consumer fireworks at a motor vehicle, building, or another person

o    Follow any other regulations set by Pennsylvania’s Act 43 of 2017 or the Township’s Fireworks Ordinance (links below)

o    Violators will be subject to the penalties listed in the Township’s Fireworks Ordinance

o    Fireworks complaints need to be called in to the Police Department at 724-863-8800 in order for a timely response
