[ARCHIVED] North Huntingdon Police Department Receives $1M Grant

Grant Award

The North Huntingdon Township Board of Commissioners are excited to announce that the North Huntingdon Township Police Department was awarded $1,061,720 in grant funding through the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD). The PCCD’s mission is to enhance the quality, coordination, and planning within the criminal and juvenile justice systems, to facilitate the delivery of services to victims of crime, and to increase the safety of our communities. “This money will be used to upgrade our mobile and portable radios, computer equipment, and enhance our communications technology infrastructure allowing us to share information with other municipal police departments quickly and efficiently,” Chief Robert Rizzo stated. Township Manager Harry Faulk states, “This money will take a major burden off our budget for years to come and future monies that were going to be used for these purchases can be utilized elsewhere.”
