North Huntingdon Township and its Board of Commissioners are proud to announce the adoption of a Memorial Park Bench Policy in an effort to connect our parks with our community while also enhancing the aesthetics and atmosphere of those parks. All park benches will be installed in a manner that does not alter the character of that park or its intended use.
The policy coincides with the Township's vision from their recently approved comprehensive plan — to develop a premiere park, recreation and open space system.
Members of our community can begin the process by submitting an application (including a requested park location) and payment to the Township Administration Office for review. Once approved, the bench will be purchased and installed in one of our parks. After installation is complete, the Township will maintain the memorial bench for its expected life cycle.
