Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania has recently started a major system upgrade project in the Robbins Station Road area of the Township. The streets that will be impacted in this project include Robbins Station Road, Roth Drive, Marshall Court, Abrams Drive, Wolf Drive, Adams Drive, Herold Drive, Longview Drive, Church Drive, Ada Drive, Patton Drive and North Drive. The majority of the work will be confined within the public right of ways.
Upon completion of the replacement of the main gas mains, individual service lines will be connected to the new mains. During the winter months, the excavated trench areas will be temporarily patched with an asphalt cold patch material. When sections of the project are completed, the temporary asphalt will be removed and the trench area will be paved with permanent asphalt when weather conditions permit. It is anticipated that the project duration will continue through late October.
Columbia Gas and North Huntingdon Township have executed a cost sharing restoration agreement whereby in 2027, the Township will mill and resurface all of the aforementioned roads, with exception of Robbins Station Road.
On behalf of Columbia Gas and North Huntingdon Township, we wish to thank you in advance for your cooperation and patience as the work progresses through your neighborhood, We ask that all use extreme caution as you navigate through work zones.
