Crumbl Cookie Opened in North Huntingdon

You have probably heard of the Crumbl Cookie franchise, particularly if you are on social media, but did you know we have one in North Huntingdon?

On March 4th, Tammy Ornowski and her husband, Mark opened their Crumbl Cookie in the Huntingdon Marketplace, located on Mills Drive near Walmart. As with all Crumbl Cookie locations, they offer their famous chocolate chip and sugar cookies year round in addition to a weekly rotation of 4 unique gourmet cookies. These weekly rotations can include brand new cookie flavors as well as old favorites.

A part of what sets Crumbl Cookie apart as a franchise is their social media presence. They announce their new flavors for the week on Sunday night at 8:00 pm through social media platforms like TikTok  where they have developed a large following with millions of followers. You can follow along with them by finding them @crumblcookies.

The North Huntingdon store has 75 employees and features an open concept kitchen where residents can see the employees mixing everything from scratch and producing the unique flavors they have to offer.

Tammy expressed that her and her husband's desire was to add something new and fun to the community they have deep family ties to. She also wanted the community to know that while Crumbl Cookie is a franchise, she and her husband want it to feel like a local Mom and Pop shop to the community.

Big Mac Museum in NHT Undergoes State of the Art Renovation

The Big Mac Museum recently completed a significant renovation that includes:

  • A modernized dining room and new furniture
  • Digital self-order kiosks and menu boards
  • Expanded McCafé service areas
  • Remodeled counters that allow for table service
  • Mobile Order and Pay technology
  • An expansive outdoor patio
  • New Playland equipment (to be installed mid-April)

Kiosks empower guests to browse the menu, find new options and tailor their meals just the way they want. Guests’ orders are delivered to tables by McDonald’s crew members, allowing customers to relax and enjoy a more custom dining experience.

The Mobile Order & Pay technology allows McDonald’s customers to use the company’s App to select their favorite McDonald’s items, check in at the restaurant, pay online, then enjoy a meal inside the restaurant or on the go with Drive Thru or Curbside Pickup.

Township Announcements

NHT Route 30 Earth Day Cleanup

In the spirit of Earth Day and the Township's Restore Your Store on the Corridor campaign, the Board of Commissioners coordinated a volunteer community cleanup event along Route 30 through Pick Up Pennsylvania. On Saturday April 23rd, volunteers picked up trash and litter along our primary corridor for approximately 4 hours to help beautify our township. Many thanks to our volunteers for their time and effort. Additionally, we would also like to wish a special thank you to Westmoreland County Cleanways and Recycling, Keep PA Beautiful, and Penndot for donating all of the supplies for this cleanup event.
