Site Plans
Under the authority of the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code (PA MPC), we review all land developments and subdivisions occurring within North Huntingdon. Depending on the type of application, the review and approval process takes a minimum of two months. The Planning Director should be contacted before plans are submitted to address any questions concerning the project.
The Planning Commission's Role
The Township staff works closely with the Planning Commission to ensure submitted plans comply with the ordinances of the Township. The Planning Commission is a recommending body comprised of seven community residents, appointed by the Board of Commissioners. Their recommendation is conveyed to the Board of Commissioners and is either approved or denied based on level of compliance.
